Cross River State Entertainment Industry Night will make a grand return this June, 2021, Open Secret exclusively confirms.
This was confirmed during a chat with the Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor on Entertainment, Mr Effiom Bassey in Calabar.
According to him, “I can authoritatively tell you that the Cross River Entertainment Industry Night will return this June, precisely on Wednesday, June 16, and would be preceded by the Calabar Music Seminar scheduled to hold earlier in the day, thanks to the partnership by my office as the Special Assistant to Governor on Entertainment and African digital music distribution company, Tune Afrique.”
Speaking further, Effiom said that as the Cross River State Entertainment Industry Night returns this June, it is important to acknowledge government support to push for a better industry and for the improvement of talents in the state. The music seminar is aimed at connecting Cross River talents to digital platforms to market their songs, especially in the post COVID era and inline with the vision of the digital governor, Sir Ben Ayade to take all sections of Cross Riverians with him on the digitalization and industrialization drive in the state.
“The Private Public Partnership with TUNEAFRIQUE is an initiative setup to bring the necessary information to the Cross-River Youths through a one-day workshop, where the team enlighten attendees on the process of uploading their songs to digital platforms like Spotify, Apple music, TIDAL, YOUTUBE music etc and show them some necessary tools to enable them make money off those platforms.”
As the COVID pandemic eases off, Cross River State Government has embarked on this project to enable youths in entertainment get back on their feet, by partnering with TuneAfrique Distribution to place their contents on digital platforms where audiences can consume it, while they in turn make some money, he concluded.
